Tasti D-Lite Frozen Dessert Location In Binion's Casino -- Re: July 2015 LVA Newsletter

Hi Group,

The Tasti D-Lite location in the front part of Binion's Casino that is mentioned in the July 2015 LVA (as being recently opened) has actually been there for I think 2 or more years.

The actual Tasti D-Lite website says that the product that they serve (the Frozen Dessert) is not (nor should it be) called Ice Cream since it has less than 10% Butterfat and it's not Frozen Yogurt because it does not contain Yogurt Culture.

In the FAQ section of the Tasti D-Lite website, it does say that the base for the product as it comes out of the factory as well as the Syrups that they use are actually Certified Kosher.

Also, unless things have changed since November 2014, at the location of the Free Spin promotion which is at the front of Binion's Casino, if a player decides to take advantage of the Free spin promotion, once the spin ends, the machine monitor then hands the player a coupon sheet which at least in November 2014 had a coupon for Tasti D-Lite which provides a $1 discount off of an at least $5 purchase (I think that at the Binion's location, they charge about 70 Cents per ounce for the product -- but check with them about current pricing), so check that out if you're interested.

More information on Tasti D-Lite is found on their website at: https://www.tastidlite.com

At least according to the Tasti D-Lite website, this Tasti D-Lite dessert has about 70 Calories (for most of the flavors) per 4 Ounce Serving. So that's not so bad! It seems to have less calories, fat and carbs than Ice Cream. The website says that at least some of this product has 70% fewer calories than Ice Cream and 30% fewer calories than Frozen Yogurt with no Artificial Sweetners.

Check out the Tasti D-Lite website (see the link in this thread's previous post) for more nutrition information on this product.

I'm now seeing that from Tasti D-Lite's website, there is even video information about it on Youtube, so check it out!

I do know that the location at Binion's does offer sample tastes for anyone interested.

I forgot to add that based upon what I have read and seen, the Binion's location seems to offer only four different flavors of the Frozen Dessert (including some kind of "Classic" Chocolate and Vanilla flavors) -- which is not a very wide variety of flavors, so be aware of that.

I have now found some information from Yelp about the four flavors that are offered at the Tasti D-Lite location in Binion's. At least in March 2015, the flavors that were offered were at least some kind of Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, and Cookies and Cream. I guess that this could change at any time, so check on that.

Another posting that's on Yelp says that this Binion's location also serves Crepes and Nachos.

I'm now noticing that at least on the main Tasti D-Lite website, as for locations around the country, they supposedly have three Las Vegas locations. Supposedly besides the Binion's location is a location inside Circus-Circus Casino as well as a location at Town Center. So check that out!

Hey Group,

After doing some more digging around to find out more information about Tasti D-Lite, I have updated previous information that I posted, so check it out if you're interested.

Hey Group,

I'm seeing that as for the casino connected locations of Tasti D-Lite, the Binion's location is open daily from 10AM to 11PM and the location in Circus Circus is open daily from 10AM to 12 Midnight.

Information about the three locations' hours and phone numbers are available through the Tasti D-Lite website.

And as for at least the Binion's Casino promotion/coupon for Tasti D-Lite, I don't know whether the $5 purchase that is necessary to be made before you get the $1 discount is before or after Sales Tax. That would have to be looked into.

You can actually see a video clip that shows Anthony Curtis at the Free Spin machine that's out in front of Binion's Casino as well as he and the host of the video being handed the coupon sheet in the "Munchies Guide To Las Vegas" video that previously had been on the homepage of this website.

To get to this video, you can go to: https://munchies.vice.com/videos/the-munchies-guide-to-vegas-ol-school-vegas where you will find the segment with Anthony starting just after about the 4 Minute and 40 Second point.
