This place BANS kids under 6.

Yes, you can eat there, but leave the kids at home with a sitter.

People have the right to be offended.  The owner has the right to ban kids.

Good for that owner.  He is exactly right.  That mother is one of the entitled of the world.  You choose to have kids, life changes.  Including where you can do things until the kid is old enough to self-regulate at least their voice volume.  I predict her kids will grow up spoiled and entitled as well.

It is good to have places where to kids can be kids, but also to learn that some places are for grown-ups, and when they get a little older and learn certain behaviors they can eat at the 'special' place with mom and dad.

That woman should petition the family organizer to pick a place more suited to family with babies/toddlers, not bash the owner for his decision to provide a more inviting environment for adults.

Amen.  Let's not offend the Showflakes.

We do need more "all adult" places to eat, drink, stay etc.  I support the owner.

Years ago I was running a bowling center. Three females (regulars) were having a drink and were joined by a friend who had just had a baby. BT said they could move to the restuarant and she would serve them there. She said she promise not to serve the baby alcohol. Upshot was I had to come in and ask her to leave the lounge area. She said no, so I refunded her friends for their drinks and had the BT pick them up. She threatened to sue, but I said I doubted any lawyer would file becuse she was breaking the law. She remained a customer, but didn't speak to me much after that.

To the main topic, I understand that children will act out in those years and accept it. But, it one thing if I'm having a big mac at McDs. If I'm buying a dinner that's going to cost $120, I'd rather have backround music instead of a child screaming for 15 minutes!

Like scooters racing up and down the strip, entitlement is not a good thing.

All places should ban kids under six.    Keep them locked up in the basement until they learn not to bother me.
