We will be in Vegas in October and want to know if anybody has any idea's for an Italian Restaurant on the strip or downtown we have been to Raio's in the past.
"Best Restaurant" at any price? Or is there a budget in mind?
I've been to a few and can weigh in:
Olives at the Bellagio is top notch. Plan on about $50/person (at least). Nice wine list. Awesome flatbreads and antepasto. Atmosphere is what you would expect from a high end place.
Grotto is at the Golden Nugget. Skip it. Quality is about on par with Olive Garden but at a much higher price.
Pasta Pirate at California. Same as Grotto but cheaper.
Pasta Cuccina at most Station Properties. Same as Grotto but MUCH cheaper. They frequently have promotions that bring dinner entree prices under $10. its not a 5 star restaurant by anyone's imagination but its a solid meal for the price.
Thanks everybody I think we may try Olive's at Bellagio we have only ever eaten at the buffet so it will be a nice treat, will let you know how we get on.

If you go to Olive's, ask to sit on the patio. You'll get a great view of the fountain shows. And the weather in October should be perfect for eating outdoors.
The wife and I have been to Casa Di Amore several times now. While not on the strip if you call for a reservation they will send a complimentary limo to pick you up and drop you off. Food and prices are quite decent there.
Capo's on West Sahara has "old-fashioned" Italian food, which is very satisfying and tasty, but not, I would say anything like the gourmet places on The Strip. However, it's tons of fun, with a guy singing standards and all sorts of mob-type flourishes. They have 2-for-1 entrees on Tuesdays. We love it.
