Who has been to the Peppermill lately?

Has anyone been to the Peppermill lounge lately? Does it have a happy hour? Would you go back? Thanks for any help you can give.
I don't know that I would say "lately" as it's probably been a year or so ago. I assume you are talking about the Fireside Lounge, I think it's called, that is attached to the Peppermill Restaurant. That was our first and only time there. We were very much impressed. It was on a Sunday night so it was fairly slow, but we really liked the surroundings and watching others at the "fire pit". I did see NSUD at the bar and in the lobby. The laid back setting and couches, etc. scattered about made for a good atmosphere. Only drawback was the music that was so great when we came in (on all the tvs scattered about) went downhill after awhile...
I went to the Peppermill about three weeks ago. My friends and I ate a fairly late dinner on the restaurant side which was quite crowded but we didn't have to wait for a table. The food was pretty good but the highlight was going to the Fireside Lounge side of the establishment. It was still a great atmosphere (only my second visit ever). It was less than half full on the Wednesday night we visited. I didn't notice if there was a happy hour and it was probably too late for one anyway. However, the two bottles of wine we had were reasonably priced. I plan to visit the Peppermill on more of my Vegas trips.

T.H.
I have heard that their signature drink is something called a Scorpion. Has anyone tried it?

We stopped in and had one drink each and with tip it ran around $20. We just wanted to check out the atmosphere. It was interesting, but nothing that I would need to return for.
I ate there several years ago, ordered the most expensive club sandwich I ever ate. $14.95 my friend had a muffin $4.95 bill came to $21.00 something plus tax, put $40.00 in the receipt book and the waitress asked me if I wanted change, I said I wanted my change, no $19.00 tip for a $20.00 lunch tab, The club sandwich had baco's in it instead of Bacon !

Seriously? That's beyond unacceptable.

Was the lettuce actually the plastic green grass from an Easter basket?
Yes that is a fact, they must have run out of bacon, when I lifted my sandwhich to my face, all kinds of little baco bits fell all over me and the table. I like Club Sandwich's and like to compare them from place to place, well when I had a chance to order the most expensive one, I thought this one has to be great.

Funny stuff....

I love their lounge. They have gigantic fruity drinks with the little umbrellas and stuff. And since everyone is drinking them you dont feel immascualted by drinking one too.

They have a cozy sofa that forms a circle around a wood fireplace in the middle of the room. Or you can sit at the rat-pack inspired bar and play crappy video poker (7/5 Bonus Poker).
