Wicked Spoon or Bachannal?

I will be going on my next trip in April and my sister and brother in law will be there at the same time.
I will be staying at Rio and they will be at Caesar's. My sister wants to eat at either the Bacchanal buffet
or Wicked Spoon at Cosmopolitan. We would be going on a Sunday night and I'm afraid of huge lines at both. Do any of you who have eaten at both recommend one over the other? I know the line at Bachannal was huge when I was there in December so I skipped it.

Any thoughts at avoiding the crowd on a Sunday night?
Bachannal's price increase has made the decision for us.
At the rate they are increasing prices it will probably be triple digits by the time you are there in April.

It will be harder to eat and get around at the Bachannal due to the missing arm and leg it costs you to get in.
I have had multiple meals at Wicked Spoon (dinner I believe is my favorite) and had what I think was brunch or dinner at Bachannal. All meals were good. Can't remember the prices but I had food comps at Cosmo for WS and CLV treated at Bachannal but prices weren't modest at either.

Would recommend both but the lines at both can be long. If anyone is Diamond in your party there will still be a line but it will be a lot shorter at Bachannal.

I have seen very long lines at Wicked Spoon as well but I'll disclose a little known secret that I hope will stay with my fellow LVAers. I am Gold at Cosmo, which I earned but is also automatic (I believe) if you are Diamond with CET. There's a special line for Platinum at Cosmo (Platinum is higher than Gold) but when I first checked in a couple of trips ago I got from the players club (Identity club) or check in desk (can't remember) a little packet with two small cards showing the benefits of Gold and Platinum. Under Gold benefits it says "Priority access to Wicked Spoon."

When I was in Vegas for Thanksgiving I decided to use my food comp to eat at WS for Thanksgiving Dinner. The line was off the chart; 2 hour waits to pay and then be seated. No one was in the line that was marked Priority Access. It might have said Platinum actually. I got in that line and the person said Platinum only. I told him Gold had priority access as well and he said to me if I had something to show that he would honor it. Rules person that I am I had the card on me, he took a quick look (he had never seen it before and I believe he had no idea of this Gold benefit), and quickly escorted me to the cashier. He was quite nice about it. I was seated in about 3 minutes.

There were probably a lot of Gold members in the 2 hour line but who were unaware that the priority access is a benefit to which they were entitled. Members should have the benefits card on them, however, that clearly refers to priority access, which, in my view, is one of the best benefits of being Gold at Cosmopolitan as I do like the WS buffet.
Can't speak for my sister or brother in law, but if the line is over 20 minutes, I'm not waiting.
I agree. The price increases are way to much. Bacahannal is the best on the strip though. But it seems your going to pay for it. Yes, the line will be over 20 minutes. But it's the best and you have to wait I guess for the best. If you like buffets I would get the best of buffets pass. If you do the math it's a better deal. That is if you want to pay the price. It's not a $4.99 buffet and neither is Wicked Spoon. I suggest if you have the money try them both once and decide which you like better.
I have the money, but my time is worth more than standing in line for two hours. Not doing it.
VegasVP, you're absolutely right. The wait at Bachannal is definitely not worth it. I got scammed into buying the $15 line pass and then still waited nearly half an hour as arriving Diamonds and SS players were seated first (as they should be - but then don't claim to put me in a "priority" line and charge me for the privilege).
I found Bachannal no better than Wicked Spoon, Bellagio or Wynn, and considering the bordering-on-obscene prices they're now charging, I wouldn't give them a dime, or a minute of my time. Go to Wicked Spoon. No line at lunch and the price is very reasonable for the quality.
