That link goes to a private Facebook group. The new buffet prices are on the Palms website. https://www.palms.com/dining/ayce-buffet There are some big increases. Brunch went from $32.99 to $42.99. Lobster dinner went from $64.99 to $79.99.
I'm going because I have the LVA coupon. Without it, I wouldn't consider eating there.

The good news is that the summer brunch for two promo appears to be intact. If you do that, the retail price is immaterial. But zowie, that's a huge price increase. They're taking advantage of the buffet's popularity, but those prices may deter quite a few people.
Although...there seems to be very little price resistance in Vegas since the Trumpdemic. Well-off retirees, entitled millennials, people jonesing for their Vegas fix no matter what...for 3+ years now, they've bent over, paid whatever is asked/demanded, smiled, and asked, "Please, sir, may I have another?"
With the new pricing, has anyone tried going to the Lobster Dinner without a reservation? Is it possible to get in after 7pm on the waitlist?
Palms default mail offer has $30 food voucher for Oct....and the LVA coupon. I'll be going twice.
I went for brunch on my most recent visit. With the coupons its still a good deal but I would say full price is getting close to being a rip off. With 20% tip you're paying $50 for breakfast foods. Granted they have a nice selection but its hard to eat $50 worth for breakfast.

Who in their right mind tips 20% for a buffet? If anything, one should be tipping themselves for getting their own food - a drink server is not worth 20% of the bill.

Who in their right mind makes a snide remark about what amount someone else chooses to tip?
That aside, buffet servers do more than just bring your drinks--they also clear the tables, bus the dishes, bring out clean napkins and silverware, etc. But many buffet diners don't leave a tip at all, and those that do usually leave about $1 a person. These servers make minimum wage, so it doesn't all add up to very much.
But yeah, if you're feeling butt-hurt because you dumped $600 at the tables or slots before you went to the buffet, by all means, take our your frustrations on your buffet server.
