Years ago, a friend while he was driving offered all of a sudden to change doing what we were going to do to instead go on an all nighter to LV from Los Angeles and I said that it was too far to go for such a short amount of time. At the time of the offer there was still about a 230 mile drive to Las Vegas (it's about 280 or so one way).
As for late night in LV (especially Downtown LV), I'd say you're more likely to find people at El Cortez. Do remember that they have a decent enough Blackjack game (at least as long as you don't play that infernally rotten "Royal Match" promotion) and as long as you are willing to bet $1 minimum, you can then bet with 25 Cent chips at Roulette.
