The 4 Queens - I Knew This Was Forthcoming

I have stayed/played at the 4 Queens for years. They at one time had the best video poker offering in Vegas with their $1 -10/7 Double Bonus games, to which I gave considerable play. Last April they downgraded the $1- Double Bonus to 9/6 - a game that I no longer see anyone ( including myself) playing there anymore. Since their removal, all that is left of the 10/7 Double Bonus games is now 5 - 25 cent machines. My overall play has diminished since the downgrading of the $1- 10/7 Double Bonus, and as a predicted result, so have my offers.I used to receive 2 free nights with $40 free play per month - my current offer has descended currently to 15% off room rates and no free play. I don't see my offers getting any better - which is a shame since I really like the room renovations they have done.

Are there any good games across the street at their sister property Binions?

Not really. If you want more specifics, go to -  vpFREE2- and brouse the different casinos for up to date video poker specifics. I hope that helps.

David, for what it's worth, 4Q offers have typically dropped for a few months around this time of year (February, March), at least over the past several years.  I'd withhold judgment until you see your April or May offers, although overall they haven't been as generous as in years past.  At least they still have plenty of 9/6 JoB and the 0.3125% CB, as well as (usually) some meaningful promos.  Still a tedious place to play, no playable dollar machines and only old uprights in poor repair.

You could be right - we will see.

I'll actually answer your question instead of saying, "Look it up yourself on VPFree2."

The best games there are .25 8/5 Bonus--99.17%. There are only a few of them, in an alcove/passageway toward the back of the casino. You can also find some 9/6 JOB, but those games only pay 2500 credits for a royal, which is about a 1% loss, making them a 98.5% game.

The silver lining is that with the comps and cash back, those 8/5s are slightly positive when played during one of their "earn x points, get x cashback" promos. If, as usual, you can only hit the promo once a month at 4Q, you can usually hit it again across the street. It's barely worth it mathematically, but if you're bored...

Despite Miller's complaints, the 10/7 .25 DB machines, with the comps and cashback, are the best game in town, especially since they removed the $16 to earn a point restriction (it's now $8, like everything else there).

Some of their "earn x points" promos elevate your overall return well above 101%. That's practically a unicorn these days.

The 4Q isn't the only casino to tighten the screws during March (Madness). It's so crappy overall, I never visit then. They take advantage of the sports fandom as well as the unusually decent weather. A lot of people go to Vegas that time of year because they're sick of being frozen and snowed on.

Well, Canadians used to, anyway.

Honestly, there was no reason to mention Miller in your comment, Kevin.

And honestly, there was no reason not to. He moaned about the downgrading of his favorite game. That might have given the false impression that the other good games were downgraded as well. There's still a lot of good opportunities there.

And that is probably true about the good opportunities still being there, but you could have made your point without mentioning his name, is all I am saying.  There really was not need for that.   Be well.
