4Qs rooms

Their parking garage is a nightmare....you have go up about 4 floors before you get past the valet area and everything is very tight - and you always seem to run into some moron who is doing 50 around the tight corners.

But 4Q is a pretty good downtown destination overall. Good VP. Good restaurants. Good crowd.
The Chicago Pizza Pub has some good micro brews which you can suck down while playing VP at their bar.
The rooms are adequate but not luxurious by any means. Suites can easily be booked for under $100 on weekdays.

One other thing of note...I recall some of the travel sites showing multiple complaints of bed bugs. I dont think its any more of a problem there than other hotels - but it might be worth doing some homework to be sure.

Stu,

Sorry I forgot to answer that part of the question. Yes, Four Queens is connected to Binion's (it's owned by the same person although they have different Slot Club Cards) and Four Queens Hotel Guests can use the Pool (when it's open) at Binion's.

Also, Parking is Free for Four Queens Hotel Guests. You have to ask at the Hotel Front Desk for a Parking Pass.

Parking can be Free for Casino Patrons as well with Validation but I don't know how long the validation is good for or if you can get multiple validations if you are there for longer than whatever the initial period may be.

From what I'm understanding, the people who own Four Queens supposedly don't own the parking lot and so anyone who is not a Hotel Guest has to deal with the validation process.

One little trick we found in the parking garage is to go until you get to the self-parking level, then cut through as if you're going out (down). That level is self-parking as well and we always found spaces.

The rooms are fine. They're not 5 star, but they're not 5 star pricing either.

Have fun!

This site gives you all the references/reports regarding bed bugs. It's a creepy site to visit & I try not to read it. I always end up scratching! Pretty much every hotel has some reports.

I asked what the "Code 300" signs were on several doors on my floor at the Four Queens last weekend. The answer was the rooms had bugs. I learned about bed bugs after a scare in my building and now carry a flashlight to inspect hotel rooms upon arrival and advise everyone else to learn how to do the same so you don't bring some unwanted guests home.
We stayed at the 4 Queens in Sept the room was ok but small. Our maid we had for room service was very nice and always kept the room clean. But everyone else in that hotel was rude, rude, rude. From the moment we entered the hotel there was no customer service. We left from one hotel Downtown and went to the 4 Queens with 3 suitcases in tow, got to the bar out front of the 4 Queens and just asked if they could get us a bellboy to take our bags to check in, since check in was in the back of hotel. The bartender pointed and said that check in was back there. My husband asked again and the bartender said very ugly to him your taxi dropped you off at the wrong place you have to go back there. My husband said we came across the street from another hotel. We never did get a bell boy had to cart our suitcases back to the hotel. I am not old but a little help would have gone along way. 2nd strike we went to Magnolias the next morning for breakfast. Rude older hostess must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed, we wanted a booth overlooking the casino floor. No big deal to us I would wait if nothing was available. Got a nasty look when we asked and hostess stated when one is available you may have it. 3rd strike when we wanted to play a match play and dealer turned around to lady pit boss rolled her eyes and made a noise under her breath, no one was at the table but us. Played the match play and left, guess everyone in that hotel needs customer service training or look for a new job. We did not gamble in that hotel after that. I am not a high maintenance person but I want to be treated like I am someone not just another body. Will never stay at this hotel again. 1st time very bad impression. Maybe you should reconsider your staying here.
Thanks
Our experience is absolute opposite.
Staff were great, Front Desk was fast and friendly hostess service was the fastest in all the casinos that we gambled in, Magnolias staff were great - we ate there every day, cashier and Players Club with both pleasant and helpful to deal with, room maid was very good. Showroom staff were also good. Looks as though you ran into a few bad ones in succession, but we have been there lot of times and never experienced that.
I once again stayed at Four Queens last week and had no problems with my room (including no bug problems -- although I did see a room that had a "Code 300" sign on it and thanks to the earlier information in the thread, I knew that that meant that there were bugs in that room).

Just back from LV. I stayed at the Palms; just a nicer quality room. The 4Qs room was perfectly fine, also. I would say equivalent to a Harrah's room whereas the Palms room was more like a Red Rock room.
Two points:
The Palms room had free Wi-Fi, no coffee maker.
The 4Qs room had free coffee maker, $8.95 Wi-Fi.
Also stayed at Red Rock...but very disappointed...with a comp room you no longer get free wi-fi nor use of the spa. You have to pay the $27 resort fee or it's $10 for the spa and $15 for wi-fi. On a comped room! Just sucks.

4Q works fine for me. Until recently, they were giving me all sorts of comps- $80 a month free play, $80 in matchplays, and free rooms. I guess I abused it last year when I wrangled invites for four people to their Super Bowl party and didn't gamble a dime.
