I like the D.  I'm 62 years old and I love loud music.  If you don't, it's not your place.

Nice of you to share, Bobby.  I'm afraid this (and the loudnes) would keep me away.   Thanks again.  Sounds like you have them pegged for the losers and fakers they are, and can deal with it.

I'd suggest never enter an elevator alone at the D.  And if/when something gets started, punch a button that would open the doors immediately, exit, take another one as far up as you need to go.  But I'm sure you know this.  Also, don't most elevators, even in older places, have an alarm button to press in case of problems (like the elevator becomes stuck, etc.)?  Usually pushing that button makes a loud noise, and ideally someone would come onto the intercom asking if you have a problem.  Or maybe not.  Anyway, have a next great trip!

I was last in LV in 7-19 and stayed at 4Q.  I did not notice the hobo factor but appreciate the information from those who are seeing it up close and personal.  I believe the locals are just accepting this hobo behavior as normal and the sign of the times.  Well, you're wrong because the tourists don't put up with that S*&t.  I feel sorry a lady had to get hassled by these dirt bags.  Allowing this type of behavior will kill tourism.  We pay a large portion of your taxes.  Grow some and get those yellow shirt bike cops active again.

The first night of my last trip the tempature was 110 and FM St was packed.  I saw a gentleman with a WWII vet hat walking in this mass.  He had to be 95 and reminded me of my father who served in the Air Corps.  **You locals police your scum before no one wants to spend there money in your town**

Everyone have fun in Vegas!!  I'm returning 10-22, liberal policies pending.

I don't normally notice something beyond "loud casino" which can be common. But I have noticed playing video poker at the Vue Bar in addition to trying to avoid smokers, it can get insanely loud at night when people are drinking. It gets so loud there is just a creshendo of noise as all the people talking have to yell at each other to be heard from a few yards away. There are tables behind the bar and a very low ceiling. It is the worst place in any casino for noise Ive ever encountered.

I like the D and get good comps there. I used to live in Las Vegas and Ive seen Derek Stevens a ton of times, never walked up to him because I didnt have anything to say. But I did get blocked by the D twitter feed just for pointing out that I was a comped played and I had a room with a high view towards the Strip, a great view, but the advertising they had placed over it made it nearly impossible to see anything and destroyed the view. I didnt use any foul language so I'm not certain why the 22 year old they apparenly run their twitter feed at 2 AM blocked me. At some point a year or so later I realized I was blocked there, looked up why and tweeted to Derek Stevens the situation. The next day I was embarrassed I even said anything, who cares. I But I noticed I was unblocked. I like Derek, he responds and you may see the guy drinking in the casino, if you have a question or comment he is there for it. Las Vegas could use a lot more of that

Hi...was Wanna Taco open at 4Q??

Thanks for all the input but It is looking more like I will be doing a strip-only trip this time.

Dana, Waco Taco is still closed.

I was hassled 2 times my last trip.  Once walking down to El Cortez I was followed by a big guy who said he wanted to "crush by bones". He didn't touch me, but I was glad when the casino came and he went his way.

The second time I was waiting for the 4Q's elevator, which is behind the security desk. The security desk faces the tables, with a wall behind the desk so they can't see the elevators. A big (7ft?) black guy was with his wife with a stroller and baby. He told me I would have to wait for the next elevator while his family went up alone. I was astounded he suggested that when the elevator had room for all of us.  I didn't want to argue, but the elevator came, they went in and I coluldn't help but cussed him (FY), and and walked away. He followed me out of the elevator and says"My daughter heard  what you said to me. Maybe if I give you a hard slap on your face you will be more respectful. But he came to his senses and went back into the elevator. Evidently he was a fellow guest. His daughter was too young to talk. If you are an old man, you need a body guard to mingle in Vegas .

'Scuse me, but saying FY to anybody anywhere is asking for trouble.  JMHO.

Glad the guy didn't follow through on his threat.
