I was hassled 2 times my last trip. Once walking down to El Cortez I was followed by a big guy who said he wanted to "crush by bones". He didn't touch me, but I was glad when the casino came and he went his way.
The second time I was waiting for the 4Q's elevator, which is behind the security desk. The security desk faces the tables, with a wall behind the desk so they can't see the elevators. A big (7ft?) black guy was with his wife with a stroller and baby. He told me I would have to wait for the next elevator while his family went up alone. I was astounded he suggested that when the elevator had room for all of us. I didn't want to argue, but the elevator came, they went in and I coluldn't help but cussed him (FY), and and walked away. He followed me out of the elevator and says"My daughter heard what you said to me. Maybe if I give you a hard slap on your face you will be more respectful. But he came to his senses and went back into the elevator. Evidently he was a fellow guest. His daughter was too young to talk. If you are an old man, you need a body guard to mingle in Vegas .
Error #1: The man who asked you to wait for the next elevator might have been concerned about covid proximity. Were you wearing a mask? In these pandemic times, asking other people to maintain social distance isn't an unreasonable request, and you should honor it. Especially since you could have easily just taken the next elevator.l.
Error #2: Never cuss out someone who's seven feet tall.
Error #3: Vegas is a place where you should avoid confrontations. Even if you think you're completely in the right, that'll be little consolation when you wake up in the emergency room.
