Anyone seen Gordie Brown at Golden Nugget?

I'm thinking of using the American Casino Guide coupon or LVA coupon for the Gordie Brown show at Golden Nugget ($40 or higher ticket gets 2 for 1) but I see another option of the dinner plus the show for about $45 each. The dinner is a voucher to be used at the buffet good for 7 days after the show. Has anyone tried either deal and/or recommend one or the other. And are the seats real theater-type seats or just chairs that are arranged inside the theater?
I was there several years ago. The GN buffet is ummmm....uninspired. Better to eat at MSS or one of the downtown restaurants.

The show was very good. He did several dozen voices. If you are middle aged or more you will recognize all. If you are under say, 40 you might miss some of them. Seats were padded but not theatre (super comfy) style. Not tiered in any way
Seen the show many times over the years. Always seems fresh. We go each time we are in Vegas and would recommend. Of course we are old farts.
On the day of the shows they hand out discount coupons at the escalator entrance to the buffet and showroom next to the player's club

I thought it was a very good show, but I'm also one of the oldsters

I saw him probably 8 years ago? That was when he was at the Golden Nugget before moving to the strip....and then back to the Nugget again. He's basically an impressionist who imitates a wide array of celebrities and singers....he does a good Elvis. I recall thinking it was a good show for the price. My biggest complaint was the showroom itself. Seating was comprised of a bunch of folding chairs like you get at a church picnic. I found that to be a little red-necky for a 4 star resort. Not sure if they've renovated the showroom since I went. Like I said - it was a long time ago.
I have seen this show twice. Once was a deal like you are talking about and I echo catzdogz post of the buffet is ok at best but the show was great. I didn't bother with the meal on the second go around not that the buffet was that bad the deal just didn't interest me.
I thought the show itself was great! I wont ruin it by talking too much about it, I will just say, "what a talented guy he is".
Im not sure what pjstroh is talking about with the church folding chairs, I have seen many shows in that room (country superstars, the nitty gritty dirt band, Gordy Brown) and found them to be more like padded, short backed movie theater seats. I am a big guy (6ft 265 lbs) and I thought they were comfortable enough? The show room is medium sized and I don't think you can get a truly bad seat. The showroom and buffet are right beside each other which is convenient.
I recommend the show and if your hungry and have low expectations on your meal I would also recommend the show and buffet deal

Just saw him a month ago. Excellent. Well worth the time.
I saw the show several years ago, and I thought that it was pretty good, especially for the price. The theater was about half full, and Gordie invited everybody to come down closer. I do recall the seats being padded theater-type seats, pretty comfortable. The buffet is adequate--not outstanding--but again, good for the price.
I saw him a few years back. The show was half filled, and we ended up in the third row, stage right. I thought the show started strong but kind of meandered for most before ending well. I'm a very big guy, 6' 4 350.
I don't remember being uncomfortable, but I did have an aisle seat.
I could be wrong, but I felt he was mailing in his performance. Either that or he is very over rated.
