I would often frequent the Western while downtown. No, it was not for the art, beautiful ladies or the amazing food, but for the "$3 Beer and a Shot" special. It was my favorite Downtown "dive bar" (while the sun was up).

With the Western gone, where would you consider a good/bad/cheap Downtown Dive Bar? Atomic Liquors?

(I wish Stage Door was within walking distance of the FSE. I love that spot)

Atomic Liquors is not a dive, it's a hipster bar.

For a true downtown dive experience, I'd suggest getting blotto at the unbearably depressing Huntridge Tavern

followed by slurred karaoke and penicillin boosters at Dino's Lounge

I was in Atomic Liquors last trip and it was a good experience.....too bad they did not open until 4:00PM. I thought it was always 5 O'clock somewhere

Not sure if it's dive enough to meet the description, but I really like Downtown Cocktail Lounge.
