Is there any word, if or when, Binion's Steakhouse will open?
Given the staffing problems across the board in Vegas restaurants I wouldn't hold my breath.
On a lark, about a week or two ago I called up Binions and asked when it was opening up. the number I called was for "Restaurant Reservations". The man I spoke to said it would be "September". With the upsurge in Covid, I wouldn't hold my breath though...
loved the steakhouse and went there a lot with salesmen and clients when we had trade shows. I also recommended it to several people who were looking for a "good steak house". No one who went there ever said that they were dissappointed.
I will be going out in November so hopefully it will be opened. Am looking forward to the ribeye but the lamb is also great.

Given the fact that they still want to pay staff minimum wage (or in the case of waitstaff, subminimum), I wouldn't hold my breath, either.
The standard conservative talking point is that staffing shortages are caused by unemployment insurance--that asinine phrase, "paying people not to work." But the reality is that people aren't all that eager to return to jobs with shitty pay, little or no benefits, and unpleasant working conditions--like most jobs in the restaurant industry.
I'd be happy to pay more for restaurant meals if that money was used to fairly compensate staff. Also, tipping is an anachronistic practice. Pay waitstaff decently and remove the necessity to tip to keep them alive. (That's how they do it in New Zealand, to cite one example.)
Heard a host say they're currently renovating the Steakhouse which bodes well for an eventual reopening though I doubt it'll be next month. November was a rumored timeframe.

I hope they don't change the "Old school Vegas vibe". Front of house!

The Shoe pretty much depends on that vibe. Becky Binion Bunion Behnen at least realized that when she took over--I understood that her initial inclination was to "modernize" the place but she was talked out of it.
Now, if they'd only bring back the old school Vegas prices and the old school good, low-limit gambling. But those are almost certainly gone forever. I used to love downtown because of how much fun you could have on a limited budget. No mas!
I loved the place I hope they reopen going to Vegas September 11 if they don't have masks
Anybody have any new scoop on Binion's Steakhouse??? Anthony and crew? Any news? Every time I inquire on FB I get the same "when we have a date, we'll post it on social media". Or they delete my posts? It's been 18 months, that doesnt bode well for a reopening. Some of their staff had been there for 30+ years.
I just got off the phone with Binions. They told me that the remodeling is to be completed soon and the restaurant is expected to open this month. I hope so, as I'm wanting to take our group of 15 there on October 23. This decision will depend on what the menu prices look like and if they still offer a solid "value".
