birthday cake

I used Albertson. I went in to just look at the one on Paradise and was going to order from the one DT. The women working was so very nice I ordered from her and drove back from DT to pick it up. LOVELY, Autumn leaves as decorations, fresh strawberry filling, chocolate cake and whipped topping. Not to sweet and best of all no refrigeration , it had a shelf life of 5 days if covered and kept cool. I would not hesitate to order from that store again. It was under 20 well worth it considering the Nugget wanted 85 for a cake that fed 6-8 and we had 16 people.

Thanks for all your input.

You're welcome, Siwst852! I'm happy that I could help you with this and happy that it all worked out nicely as well as that it saved you some very nice money to boot!

So that would have been about $160 for Golden Nugget's price for two cakes for 16 people versus the less than $20 that you paid at Albertson's!

Although Albertson's is a West Coast Supermarket chain, I seem to remember that they are or were affiliated with some major chain in the East or Midwest.

Oops, sorry for the double posting but I want to add that as for GiGi's Cupcakes at Plaza, whenever I was staying at Plaza (I've stayed there at some point in time every visit for years), I never saw any people in there, so it doesn't surprise me to read from this thread that they closed down.

Hey Group,

I just wanted to add in that I found that I was right in that Albertson's Market is affiliated with Jewel-Osco, ACME and Shaw's Markets.
