Cal Remodeling

I was at the Cal today and found that Aloha Specialties on the 2nd floor bridge to MSS is closed for remodeling according to the sign on the door. I believe I actually did hear workers inside.

The Holo Holo Bar opened a few weeks ago replacing the San Francisco Pub Bar. At first they had 50c and $1 9/6 DDB as the best game I could find. Today I looked again and the 9/6 DDB had been downgraded.
Aloha Specialties on the 2nd floor of the Cal now has a sign on the door saying they will reopen on August 20th 2016.

That was a good place to buy booze. Does the Walgreen's downtown sell liquor? And while I'm on the subject, does the Walgreen's at Venetian sell liquor? Next month will be the first time I haven't rented a car in years.

More on Cal remodeling - The 2nd floor restrooms are now open. I believe they were closed for at least a year for remodeling.

My July mailer says - "The Redwood Bar and Grill currently located in the Pullman Grille inside Main Street Station. Hours of Operation - Sun-Tu 5:30-10 - Closed Wed and Th - Friday and Saturday 5:30 - 11"
would love to see the Pullman grille remain open------it was my favorite dining experience downtown-----never did hear why they closed-----assumed it was for lack of attendance, certainly not the quality of food or ambience-----

The Main St. Bar at the Cal is now closed. It looks like it is next on the remodel list.
How about "Dave's Bar" upstairs? Is that place still open?

Dave's Bar was open at least as of a few days ago.
