Can You Explain...

..how Vegas Bingo works at the Plaza, Binions, etc?

I know that sounds silly, but Im thinking about sitting down for a few rounds next weekend, but not sure how serious to take it. Is it something you can buy a few cards, play then call it a day or do I need to plan on sticking around for the entire session?

and it could be most important, do they have cocktail service?

thanks

I haven't played at the Plaza or Binion's, but I assume they play like everybody else does. I usually play at Gold Coast or Southpoint. When you buy in, you buy in for the whole session, not just a few games. The sessions usually last about an hour - you play 10-15 games. You can either play on paper (you'll need a "dobber" to mark your spots) or on a machine. For paper, there's a separate sheet for each game. There will probably be cocktail service. Good luck and if you get a bingo, be sure to yell loud!!!

Thank you! Its been something Ive wanted to do, but can never seem to find the time. (when in Vegas, time seems to slip away pretty quick)

Spend the additional $1 when you get there to use an electronic bingo tracker machine thingy. Way better than the dobber. Now if someone can explain what a "rainbow pack" is, that would be great

The games pay off different amounts depending on the color of your bingo pack. Typically, the "blue" pack costs the least to purchase and pays the least on a bingo (usually $50). If you bingo on a "green" pack, the same game will pay $100. "Tan" will pay even more. If you get a "rainbow pack" you get cards in various colors (like a rainbow)!

Another tip - pay the extra dollar for "validation". Most places have something called a hot ball. The number is drawn randomly at the beginning of the session. If you bingo on that hot ball you get an extra jackpot - sometimes in the thousands of dollars. You have to buy the "validation" to be eligible for the hot ball. Chances are slim that you'll win - but it's just a buck. Good Luck!

Ok, correct me if Im wrong, but here is what Ive got:
- Most rounds usually last an hour or so
- Spend the extra $1 for the electronic tracker
- Spend the extra $1 for the validation
- Depending on the $$ I want to spend is the color of the pack I buy, that also determines the payout
- Cocktail Service is available

This time next week Ill be there!

thanks

The easiest way is to just decide how much you want to spend (I think the absolute minimum is a blue paper pack and that costs about $6). Go to the window and tell the clerk that you want to play on a machine and about how much you want to spend. They'll give you the pack that best suits your budget. I know at Gold Coast and Southpoint you can give them your players card and get points (and sometimes discounts) for your bingo play.

Since you've not played before, you might want to sit next to someone who looks like they know what they're doing. They will also have casino people on the floor available to help you if you have a problem.

I sure do hope you get a BINGO!!! Good Luck!

Got it. Im probably over thinking a simple game like bingo, but dont want to walk in and look a fool.

Thanks

Thank you for the info. Rainbow it is.
I found out for you that more info about the Bingo at Plaza is available at https://www.plazahotelcasino.com/bingo/

And it looks like sessions are held every two hours on the odd number hours during the day and some of the evening (between 11AM and 9PM), so check it out.

If you have a Plaza Slot Club Card, I think that you probably can get some kind of Credit playing Bingo.
