Crazy Cabana or Tower Room at El Cortez?

I'm slowly falling in love with this weird place, as the east end of Fremont Street develops. I stayed in a Cabana Suite last time, and it was very green and slightly off-putting. You have to pass by the dorm mother before you get the elevator. But room was big and comfortable. Am considering Tower Room this time, but could certainly be talked out of it. It's all free, so money is not an object.
Having stayed in both, I would take a Tower Rooom over
a Cabana Room. Several times each day I stubbed my Toes
trying to manuver around the bed in my Cabana Room, not
fun at all since these rooms are so small !
I've stayed in both as well and much prefer the Tower Rooms. But then, I'm old, crotchedy, and don't have a chic bone in my body - just a little disclaimer there...
My vote would have to go towards the tower rooms as well. Nice and roomy. I like having a room with a seating area like the tower rooms have especially if I am spending more that a night or two there.

3 of 3. Thanks. So I will try the Tower Room. If I don't decide to stay at MSS.
Make it a quartet. I've never stayed in the tower, but prefer the tower for the reasons you and others have mentioned.
I've stayed in the tower once and it was very nice. We're trying a Cabana room in three weeks, just for the experience of it all. Curious about the "dorm mother"? Is she the elevator guard that they have at many hotels?
To get from the main hotel to the cabana building, you have to cross Ogden Avenue. There's a security guard outside the cabana building 24/7. But once you get inside, there's this lobby, and woman sitting behind a desk. I think she works as a telephone operator/reservationist, but also as a sort of concierge. Sees all, knows all, as you head to the elevator.
I like the proximity of the Tower rooms but count me as one who actually likes the green/white/black décor and the newness of the Cabana Suites. The junior suites are a bit bigger. I wouldn't decorate my home that way but for a Vegas room I like it. Workout center on the first floor is small, but nice, as well.
You don't have to be staying in a Cabana room to use the work out room.
