Culinary workers union possible strike

Going to Vegas in April. We always stay on the strip but spend at least one full day and evening downtown for gambling and dining. If there are picket lines we'll change our plans and not make our downtown trip. Anyone else considering changes to their itinerary if you are traveling to Vegas in the next few months? I remember walking by the strikers at the Frontier on the strip in 1992. They were well behaved when we walked by but we didn't go in the Frontier. Downtown is too crowded and rowdy now, throw in a bunch of picketers and there is no way I'm heading down there.
Luckily my next trip (late May) is a solo trip. A culinary strike would definitely effect my wife way more than me.
I respect their right to strike but I will not let their behavior affect my future trips to Vegas.
I see the need for Unions (way too many times Company/Union are bed partners. I also see the need for an agreement to be reached. Way too many times during a work stoppage there are things that happen on both sides that are never forgiven. Best they are settled we go back to Las Vegas in mid May and would hate to see this happen because we are staying downtown. It will take the heart out of Downtown.

May i ask what hotels are subject to being picketed? I will be in Downtown Las Vegas this month and really do not want to cross a picket line. I may have to change my reservations.
Ok, my quick research shows all the downtown hotels are facing a strike. I may have to change plans quickly.
There are definitely other local restaurants you can go to that are not Union places. In the Downtown LV area, I like Huntridge Soda Fountain a lot. It's not open on Saturdays but otherwise (unless maybe it's a major Jewish Holiday -- like Passover) it's open Sundays from 9 to 5 (I believe), Monday through Thursday from 8AM-8PM and Fridays 8AM to 3PM.

This is a Dairy/Vegetarian place that even Max Jacobson reviewed (and he liked the place) -- which is in Vegas Seven magazine. It's like a 1950's Diner -- so a real blast from the past and the prices are reasonable as well.

It's on Charleston and Maryland Parkway and has a website which you can find on this website through the Kosher restaurants section.

Enjoy!

Will Binions burger or the Coney island hotdog place at the "D" be effected? or is it just restaurant's (Dupars/the Flame) and buffets (Fremont-Golden Nugget) and stuff like that?
My understanding fro reading the Culinary Union Local 226 web site is that there is a picket scheduled for Saturday April 12th starting at 11 AM.
My understanding is , if it is in the building, or served by Culinary workers it will be effected.
