D & Golden Gate Sister Properties?

Got a mailer promoting a $50,000 Blackjack Tournament presented by the D & GG. Have they always been sister properties, or is this a new partnership?

I think sometime last year the owner of the Fitz pasted away and the GG owners bought the Fitz and changed the name to the D.
