The D and Golden Gate update

Went over St Patricks Day weekend.

The D:
Packed. Younger crowd, loud music, lots of partying. Dancing girls on Saturday night, did not see them on Monday night. Rowdy crowd. New Long bar is cool with great tv's behind it. Upstairs I didn't notice anything different yet, but only went to Vue bar and Don B's. Room was not changed. STill have old style tv's.

Golden Gate:
Lots of construction going on where the deli used to be. One day the old rest rooms were there in the tables area, the next day they were covered with drywall and being mudded. This place is changing by the minute (I don't remember seeing many workers at night but when I walked through one morning at 8 am they were in full construction mode). Much of it remains the same so far.

Is this different from past trips? I dont remember the crowd being too rowdy? Could it have been because it was St. Pattys Day Weekend?

D is getting the Prince Tribute from Hooters next week

The wife and I will be in Vegas next week and would really like to see Purple Reign. However, when LVA called the box office at the "D", they could not confirm it. There is no mention of it on the "D"'s website and Purple Reigns website says they are still at Hooter's. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Just got a free offer in the mail from Golden Gate for June or July. Is it the remodel completely finished? Was there in February and it seemed pretty much the same.
Any help would be great.

I was just at the "D". The vibe was MTV. The crowd was Matlock. Something weird about people in walkers mixed with table-dancing-blackjack hos. But it wasn't weird in a bad way. It was actually pretty cool.

Think we're going to eventually see combined offers/comps/etc between the D and GG? Anyone heard anything?

Nothinng yet...that would be fun to play @ both a get rewarded.
