The D - coffee shop status?

They used to have a horrible diner there. I understand it was upgraded with the remodel. Anyone try it? Is it worth eating at for any meal?
Don.
Since the remodel thay have changed - they are aiming for more upscale look and service. We have eaten breakfast and lunch there - both times thought the food was good and prices are not unreasonable but they no longer have their cheap specials that existed when the old cafe/coffee shop was open.
You can use your D comps at Golden Gate. If you dont want to risk the D diner then you can just go to DuPars at GG
I may have to give it a try. And good call on the Golden Gate. I have eaten there before and had a good meal.

I've had breakfast at the D grill twice. It's SO much nicer than the old dump. Everything was sold.

Agree. There is no comparison to the D Grill and the Fitz "Ptomaine Palace".
We ate there Yesterday 01/06/14 and it was great. Two days before I had the Crab Cake Benedict and it was awesome. Real crab, not that imitation stuff. Service can be a little slow, but isn't that a normal coffee shop thing?
The Wife and I ate at The D Grill twice and it was just great. Nice decor, great menu and prices and the service was excellent. We stayed at The D 03/09/14 thru 03/11/14.
my wife and I ate there april 1 on a $50 food comp. more food than we could eat so we boxed the rest up and gave it to the homeless. the food was excellent.
