The Deuce

I will be at the Hilton next week and I was wondering if The Deuce is a decent option to shoot downtown to the Fremont Street Experience or if it wastes a ton of time?
It depends what your definition of "a ton of time" is. I took the Deuce from the Flamingo to downtown and it took forever (over 1 hour). It stops everywhere, and I mean everywhere. It is advertised to tourists, but on my ride was mostly locals travelling to and from work, shopping, etc. On the way back, I got off at Circus Circus and walked the rest of the way. BTW It took over 45 minutes to get from downtown (Neonopolis) to Circus Circus.

I don't know if it is always like this. I do know that I will never ride the Deuce again.

You don't want to go over to the strip for the Deuce. Since you are staying at the Hilton, you want to catch the Strip/downtown express from either the convention center or the old monorail station at the Sahara. Another option would be the 108 bus in front of the Hilton.
Strip downtown express bus from the old Sahara monorail stop.....if I took that down and back is it a quick trip? Is that a different fare than the Deuce?

Same fare and way, way faster than the deuce. I think from Paris to Downtown only has 6 or 7 stops vs. 1,324 for the deuce. 24 hour pass is $7.00 vs. 2 hour pass for $5
