Spending 2 days downtown later this month and debating hitting a pool for a min..
Im staying at MSS which offers entry to the California Pool. I dont need a "party scene" just somewhere to cool off.
Is it worth checking out or should I just hit the Plaza pool?

would u have to pay to go to the plaza? the pool at the Cal is pretty basic, sometimes no one even there -- which is peaceful. the pool pics at the Grand look nice, I don't know what the fee is for non-guests.

Last summer we got a tour of the Grand and "Picnic" (the pool area). They are pretty strict about "guests only" at the pool, but locals get in free and non guests can pay a cover to hang out.

Ive stayed at the Plaza many times and to get into the pool, they say "key card required" but I've never had anyone check. Then again, the Plaza is not a party pool that needs supervision. However, its a nice spot if you just want to relax and cool off.
