Downtown Boyd Comps

Found out some interesting things today about Boyd downtown comps.

Recently the system changed to tiers 10 to 1 (best) due to a new marketing manager.

Tier 10 is basically a casino rate
Tier 7 is 4 nights, $35 slot play
Tier 1 is 4 nights, $100 slot play (that't the best your getting)

Not sure about the ones in between, I didn't want to be too pushy

Trip ratings are based on daily average theoretical loss (Theo)
Offers are based on an average of 3 trip Theo
If you don't play for 18 months you basically have to start again

What tier level gets you $75, meal book and 4nites comped?

That was the level I used to be on, I would imagine either 2 or 3, but am guessing based on the above data. I'll let you know in a month, after my next visit which should get me back to that level.

FYI, if you are at that level you should talk to a host about a Silver card instead of meal book, which is sort of lame.

Would you hazard an estimate as to what that theo needs to be for Tier 1?

Dan, I a curious myself. I used to play $15K a day and get $75 which I am going to assume is level 2 or 3 which works at 0.5%. So if you extract that out I would imagine level 1 is $20K a day. What I am interested in, is if level 1 is for the suite level. I also know that Silver and Gold cards are independent of the offers and applied by the host.

I'm not a big fan of hosts but in this case you HAVE to use one for gold or silver card.

I kept the below information a couple of years ago. Apparently, it is still in use since our January 2012 offer has the same type of code. Our last offer code was GO112MC. The mailer does show 75 slot dollars and complimentary four night stay and free meals.

C=Level which is 4 nights, free meals and 75 dollars in slots

First digit signifies property. G is Main Street Station. I do not know the codes for Cal and Fremont
2-3 digits signifies month of offer
3-4 digits signifies year of offer
6th digit signifies it's a monthly offer
7th digit is the particular level of offer

H gets 3 nights sun-thurs (sometimes any day) and $30 in food-Reported now to be $20.
G gets 3 nights any time and $40 in food-Reported to now be $20.
F gets 4 nights any time and 25 slot dollars
E gets 4 nights any time and 35 slot dollars
D gets 4 nights any time, 50 slot dollars
C gets 4 nights any time, 75 slot dollars, free meals during stay
B gets the same as "C"
A gets 4 nights any time, 100 slot dollars, free meals during stay

Kiwiboy, thanks. I amended the chart to include "E". Wife and I have linked accounts, so we receive separate offers. We each have 75 dollars slot play and 4 nights. We normally stay at the most, six nights, so we have been able to have it comped.

My offer is a B offer and I get 4 nights any time, 75 slot dollars, and free meals during stay. The exact same as C.
