Downtown Boyd Comps

My offer is MA. $100 slot and free meals(gold card) ... I was told this was based on your previous play ... Even though you may be an Emerald you are not automatically given the Gold CArd unless your play warrants it .... My husband offer is MC ... $75 slot and free meals .... He is a Sapphire...
I amended the chart based on the last two postings. Polybear, I can understand why the the Silver and Gold cards cannot be automatic and normally determined by a host. It takes 30,000 points to get to the Sapphire level. Player 1 may visit twice a year and accumulate 30,000 points plus on EACH visit. Player 2 may visit every other month and total 30-40,000 on all six visits. I would believe this is where the ADT comes into play and if Player 1 asks, the host would probably grant a Silver Card. Also as you mentioned, your previous play may warrant the awarding of a Silver or Gold card.

I have a question. Does anyone know if posting of the tier benefits is in violation of Boyd or any kind of forum rules?
Excellent chart! I wonder what the difference between B and C is?? Seems odd to have tier that on the surface offers nothing.

Also I was C for years and it NEVER mentioned silver card. It just said free meals, which meant the coupon book, not LFB. Is anyone actually have a marketing offer that mentions Silver or Gold card? My understanding is that these are not issued by marketing and only through a host. I actually made the mistake of thinking that they were once, and I when I checked in was given a coupon book; when I explained I was silver they swapped me out.

Also I know that $15K per day on the 10/7 gives you a C mailer. My understanding that $20K a day gave the A mailer. Not sure if that's on ANY game or just the 10/7.
Kiwiboy, here is my opinion. The top three levels are A, B, C and come with free meals. Based on folks reporting, the offers are the same for B & C. The Silver and Gold cards are not widely publicized nor mentioned in any offers or brochures. Thus, my thoughts are that these are given only at the discretion of the hosts.

All three ABC levels are offered free meals and unless asked, it comes with the coupon book. For a “C” level offer, there is a possibility of a Silver card after the host reviews past play. For a “B” level, I believe the Silver Card (LFB) would probably be automatic with possibly a mini-suite. If you have an “A” level offer, I think you are the “whale” of the Boyd Group down town with a Gold card, a suite and access to all their dining facilities.

Like I mentioned in my previous posting, there may be a significant difference on two Sapphire card holders and both are given different offer codes. Sapphire Player 1 may receive “C” offers, yet Player 2 only receives a “F” offer.

I believe the Silver/Gold cards are not really linked to the three player levels (Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald). The Silver/Gold cards are based on your daily play. The Player levels are based on Total play for the designated period (one year for out of town guests). Just my thoughts.

In recent years, I have been visiting LV 3 to 5 times a year. I'll play a lot of BJ at low levels (10-20) and I'll play a little VP if I have a coupon or promo. Most of my play has been at the Boyd properties (Fremont, Cal, Sam's Town, Gold Coast, Orleans) and Terrible's. We have stayed at all of those at least once (although we probably stay (but don't gamble) at the Golden Nugget more frequently than all the others combined). My Boyd card is the lowest level (red) and I think I've earned 5000 slot points total, mostly through promotions, very little actual play.

OK, with that background... I've started getting offers from the individual Boyd properties.
Orleans: 2 weeknights free in December, or weekend nights @$25, offer code QR112GF - OR - buy 1 weeknight, get 1 free for 2 or 4 nights total in Jan, Feb, or March, offer code QR201GF.
Fremont: 3 nights free (including weekends) Jan 16 thru March 7, offer code E0112XA.

Any idea what these codes mean? I can't imagine that I "earned" these.
Interesting code, not sure how that fits in.
I thought I would bring this thread back. I have the B offers and have never had a gold or silver card just the coupon book. On my next stay how should I try and get "upgraded?" book my stay through a host, talk to one when I arrive, or something else?

Thanks for the help
Talk to host AFTER you have played and ask about a Silver card. The worst that can happen is they say no, in which case ask how much more play is required. Then you know how close you are.
Just got the May offers and got code:

G0512MA for $100 in slot play and 5 nights.
