Downtown Car Rental

I would like to rent a car downtown and drop it off at the airport .... any good suggestions?

Well I know that there is a rental counter for someone (I forget which one -- Budget or Hertz) at the Four Queens (right by the hotel check in desk) but I don't know what their policy says about returning the car at the airport instead.

Have not been there for a year, but I always used Budget at the golden Nugget, its near the check in or Casino Blvd parking garage, the other side of the casino from Fremont street.

The price is almost always significantly higher renting at the hotel than using a site such as carrentals.com and renting at the airport.

There have been times when I didn't want a car for the whole trip - maybe only for half of it. The difference in cost was enough that it made sense for me to take the bus from downtown to the airport, jump on the shuttle, and rent at the airport.

I am liking that idea ...
