Downtown dinner, Coupons or not?

We need to do dinner one night downtown.

We have as these options:

The LVA members 241 at the Golden Nugegt

The 4 Queens has the Prime Rib Dinner Special

The California (sp?) has the Porterhouse special

And the MSS Brew Pub with no specials, but good food.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What would you do under these choices above?

Or is there something not mentioned above?

The LVA coupon for up to $30 off the bill at the Flame restaurant at the El Cortez is a winner. We went for the first time last year, and will be going there again in two weeks. Great food, steaks, crab legs etc at excellent prices. And then you get half off the bill up to $30.00????? Yahtzee!
I agree with janek13. We've been to the flame 2 years in a row and the food is excellent. Plus $30 off is a great coupon. Of the 4 options you mentioned, I've only been to the 777. I thought it was decent pub food.
The Golden Nugget buffet has had negative reviews from our members. Any steak or prime rib special at downtown "coffee shops" will probably be average at best.
I also second (well I guess it would 3rded) the flame went last year and on my list to do it again in a few weeks. The prices are reasonable to start and 1/2 off even better. If you go for Happy hour sit in the lounge 241 martinis and nice piano bar.

I refuse to eat at the GN my experiences with the buffet and the coffee shop were not good. I do like the Chart House especially the Happy hour nice wine and good food specials in the bar only

Sorry I guess we are no help with the original question.

Never been disappointed in The Flame. It is a must for us at least once on every trip. They do like for you to make resevations.
Of the four choices you listed, I really like the porterhouse special at the Cal, even though they've raised the prices several times over the past couple of years. It's still a good value, since it includes soup or salad and a dessert. At 777, I particularly like the pizzas and the burgers and think they're also a pretty good value.

But I'll add my vote that with the coupon, the Flame is pretty tough to beat. I've also seen coupons for $50 off a $100 purchase at the Flame on restaurant.com. Now for two people to hit $100 there, you'd have to get wine or several drinks, or else at least one of you would need to order the crab legs.
Of the ones that you listed - 4 Queens. Good food, good atmosphere, and large glasses of wime for $4.00

Cannot go wrong at the Flame at El Cortez - excellent. Also we like Pasta Pirate at California.
Out of curiosity, what is the 241 at Golden Nugget? Are you talking the buffet?

I must agree with the others, we (my wife and I) are big fans of Roberta's...Oops, I mean The Flame. The coupon makes it all the more agreeable.
Does anyone know if 2 couples can use 2 MRB coupons at the Flame? That would be ideal.

TIA.
