Isn't every restaurant in town non-smoking now? I know there are some ways around, but 777 is one big room, so there's no way to have a segregated smoking area with its own ventilation system. I can't imagine that 777 would be classified as a bar.

Seems to me that every time I ask for a non-smoking table, the answer is that the whole place is non-smoking.

I'll get to town tomorrow and will double-check. When I get back home this weekend, if no one has definitely posted by then, I'll update.
Im willing to go to any place thats got a good friendly vibe ( fun loud and rockin ) to watch the game. So DT yeah, thats a possibility. Im staying at the Rio without a car for the weekend so DT would be fairly easy to get to via the bus. I saw the newspaper article about a NE Patriots themed bar out in Henderson ( East Coast Eats ) but that looks like it would be impossible for me to get to.

Thought about just hangin at the Rio sports book but that seems to be as quiet as a library mostly for the people betting on the horses that run last and turn left.

Open to any all suggestions ....................

Thanks,

Scott

People also can (if they want to and are also willing to watch Football outside of Downtown -- especially if they have a specific favorite team to root for) go to certain bars around LV that air specific teams' games.

The LVA website has a listing of which Sports Bars air which specific teams' games, so check that out if you are interested!

To get to the list, go to the Bars/Pubs link on the LVA Homepage and then from there go to the "Sports Bars" link.

Also, the November 15, 2005 LVA QOD deals with this topic.

Bally's sports book is usually busy for both days. For years we used to go to the Brew Pub at the Monte Carlo.... now just the pub. I'm sure in the next couple weeks they will be updating LVASports.com with a listing of of Sunday and Monday Night viewing parties. LVA featured a place a few blocks down from the Palms... Money Plays that we are thinking about trying out this year.

Try maybe to check into the RTC Southern Nevada website and see if and when any buses go out in that direction.

Edited To Add: See the "Today's News" piece from September 4, 2011 called "Transit Update" since there is now buses between LV (at least the Bonneville Transit Center) and Henderson. And so maybe now you can get out to that bar.
I have been in Vegas for many football games. I'm never happy watching the game at any of the sportbooks around town. I always look for a local bar that is dedicated to my team and its always alot of fun being with like minded fans. I always rent a car so its not an issue for me to travel to the local bar.

The Eagles bar is Madison Avenue Bar and Grille - just 5 min from the Riviera, I'll be there to watch the game on Oct 2nd at 10am, being from the East coast - thats early for a game and drinking, I'll do my best !

777 or at the nugget sports book.
777 doesn't get the NFL network on their cable. I Went in there to watch a night game and ended up watching Soccer. Good brews, though.

Personally, I prefer to watch the game from a bartop view complete with decent video poker. Watch the game while its on and play VP during the commercials...and keep the drinks coming. Where is the best place for this downtown? EL Cortez at the piano bar which is now being remodeled. I hope they still have good vp there. You can also order food and they'll bring out to you.
