Last year we went to Benny's bullpen at Binions on Monday Night used our 25% coupons wasn't bad but wasn't great either. Food was So-So, drinks were good, comfy chairs and couches...the place was freezing. We all bought hoodies frm the discount store...

So where did you end up going to watch football during your trip that I just read about (or is that for your October visit)?

Hey

I havent gone yet, leaving this monday the 26th so Im talking about the week 4 games on Oct. 2nd.

One of the guys I work just came back from Vegas and he spent part of the time at the Strat and said that the staff are really talking up the Sunday football promotion and advertising it alot.
Hey sg0163,

If you look carefully at my now previous post, you will see that I was asking the original poster of this entire thread (since I included her post with my response) what she ended up doing about football watching on the trip that she just took and reported about (which can be found in another thread in this Message Board) or if she was going to be watching football on her upcoming October trip.

Hey RecVPPlayer... We were there only for Monday Night Football. The flight came in late, watched the 1/2 of the PATS game at the Fitz sport book. Played Keno and watched, wasn't bad since they remember what I drink

We leave again on the 4th...I'm thinking VP in the new El Cortez lounge but the guys might try out the Plaza if they can get seats. Last week Philly killed my HUGE teaser ticket

Ok, that sounds good and I did want to give people other options (which is why I mentioned the Specialty team bars around town). El Cortez definitely could be good and I do think that it's likely that Plaza's lounge/sportsbook could even be better than before with the new renovations.

Hey Group,

In the October 2011 edition of the LVA (which is now available to be read online), it lists the different bars that have a single team's games.

There are now 24 of the 32 teams covered with at least one bar dedicated to them and supposedly more are supposed to be listed (if any more come on) at the www.lvasports.com website.

Any update on the Sunday football party at the Strat? Going out week 9 and curious if we want to give it a try.

I was there on Sunday, Its a good time - Its got 9 huge wide screens showing multiple games ( muted down ) and one prime game on the main screen with big booming sound. Good vibe roudy crowd and lots of people cheering on their different teams.

For a $ 20 bet youd get a comp'd drink ticket and a raffle chance - 4 different raffles for 2 free nights / 2 buffets at the Strat and a grand prize for a superbowl party. Lots of different parlay and teaser card bets. Guy sitting next to me won 600 on his card. I threw down $ 100 on the Pats with 6.5 straight up and cashed out for 173.40. The girls from the bikini black jack tables set up in the corner ( dressed as refs ) and their tables were getting alot of play. For some reason their stripes were not perfectly vertical if you catch what Im sayin. I was waiting to see if we might have a wardrobe malfunction when they were jumping up and high 5'n a winner.

The waitresses are dressed as cheer leaders, several vodka drink promotions with free shots. All the dealers on the tables and the girls in the cage and ACE players desk are all wearing different NFL team jerseys. They had free WiFi and several people set up laptops, I got a great signal on my ipad.

You could order in for food : pizza sandwiches wings ( damn GOOD ! ) ect ect $ 5 pitchers special drink prices ect ect

Its a good deal - Im going back for the playoffs

You will probably laugh, but my wife and I were staying at the ElCo Cabanas and went over and watched the Texans game at the Gold Spike bar a couple weeks ago. They had specials on wings, dogs and beer and the bartender was cool. All the late games were being shown on their TV's.
