Downtown Grand Rooms

Has anyone recently stayed there? Are the rooms as nice as they look on the internet?
I think they're very nice. The shower is screwy though, it has a glass panel that only extends halfway across, it's hard to enjoy a hot steamy shower.

All in all, very nice rooms, great wifi, terrific TV, but a screwy shower.
Thank you
MissL7777,
You may to define your version of "nice" so we don't give you a wrong answer. For example; the rooms are NOT nice compared to the 4 or 5 star hotels on the strip, but as for other 3 star hotels they are just renovated so they are clean with new amenities like beds (mattresses) and TV's and I think you will like them. I only stay at 3 star hotels as that is all my bankroll permits and the downtown grand will not disappoint you (IMHO)

If you define nice as "clean, comfortable bed, good TV package" then the Downtown Grand rooms are nice.
They are not luxurious by any definition.

If you spend the extra $10 for a Premium Room you are not really getting anything that I can tell....except for the luxury of being in the same building as the casino and a different color of paint on the walls.
If the king deluxe looks like the picture on the Internet it fits my definition of nice.
FYI, my deluxe, non-premium room in February was in the same building as the casino, not in whatever they're calling the connected tower across Third.
That's good to know.

They are every bit as nice, it's a brand new hotel that opened in November, I believe, so that always helps.
The big suite with the jacuzzi looks nice, but I have yet to see a day when it is available. Maybe that is where the too drunk player, who lost millions at the Downtown Grand stays.
