The Downtown Grand S+O Restaurant is now closed for remodeling and completely walled-off. This includes the room next door that was originally an Asian restaurant. A temporary restaurant has opened in the Art Bar.
Too bad, I liked that place. Always though they provided good value and quality. Not sure this is a good sign since it's the only resto in the place and it's so new I can't understand what you'd remodel.
Apparently they will be coming up with a new and improved restaurant concept for that space.
Until then they have the temporary restaurant in the Art Bar and the Commissary which is across the street on the main floor of their other hotel tower.
And I *think* you can also use your food comps at Triple George and Pizza Rock. Someone please correct me if that's not right.
It needs it. The food was ridiculously overpriced. $11 for basic bacon/eggs. If you are going to overcharge that much for breakfast you better at least serve it up in an elegant room instead of something that looks like a bus station cafeteria.
