Downtown itch

No..it wasn't from a bed! I'm soooooooo thinking about my next trip sadly to say will be end of April. We did 4 nights in Sept and another 9 nights in mid October. Seems like 4ever!

I end up staying where I get comped ( Fitz and Cortez)...free is good but like to stay at other properties too. Since Cortez and Fitz really have NO pools. Yes fitz has a pool but doesn't count we pool hotel hop and hotel hop every 2-3 days.

I've done the:

Nugget (great pool)
Spike ( wasn't bad all alone)
Plaza (reno'd, was to cold to try it)
Golden Gate (zip)

I'm I missing a DT pool? I figure 4 hotels left I'm done...Fremont has a tiny one right? any reports on this?

Fremont doesn't have a pool. If you stay at one of the downtown Boyd properties (MSS, Fremont, Cal), you can use the pool at the Cal. It's on the roof of the west tower, pretty small and the pool deck is hot as hell in the summer. Probably no bigger than Fitz's pool. Binion's also has a pool on the roof, which Four Queens guests can use (used to be, anyway; I think it's still open but not sure). Haven't seen the renovated Plaza pool. And that's about it for downtown pools, aside from GN and Fitz, as you've mentioned.

Not sure if any of the pools are open this time of year. Maybe GN? Not sure.
Golden Nugget's pool is open year-round, as it's heated. I don't think any other pools downtown are open in the winter. The rooftop pool at Binion's is open to Four Queens guests during the summer.
Also, Las Vegas Club hotel guests have pool privileges at the pool at the Plaza Hotel.

And oops, there is another Downtown LV pool that I forgot about, but who knows what they will exactly be doing with that property (at least with the pool)?

There was a pool at Lady Luck but I have no idea whether (whatever it is that is going to happen to that location) the owners will keep or get rid of the pool that has been there.

El Cortez purchased a parking lot few years back to move the valet and put the pool right beside the Cabana suites. I guess putting the piano bar was better investment for them.

Forgot about the lady luck pool, maybe the Grand will use it or update it. Be nice not to need to stay on the strip for some pool time.
We stayed at the 4Queens last summer and used the pool on top of Binions. The view was great, the pool was small, but we had the whole area pretty much to ourselves.
