YEP!  Downtown is where I'll be for March madness!

Arriving on March 17th. Why not?(Insert green 4 leaf clovers,here)

  Coupon runs and food and VP,oh my!

I'll have more disposable cash to spend,this time.

I'm counting the days.

DTG,Binion's,4 Queens,The Plaza and the  D's cameras will be on me,soon.

I may use ear plugs,this time.

Freedom beat,Magnolia's,Binion's cafe,Plaza roulette and The D for craps.

No Boyd's,this time.  HA HA HA on you!

In certain ways, Downtown is turning into the Strip.

You're probably right Vegas Todd! Downtown used to cater to the smaller gambler but now it caters to the drinkers! Its pretty loud and most Casinos now have bars out front! The table stakes are still low during the day but at night the stakes go up. The music inside also seems to get louder. The bands are good on the weekends but man it is crowded on the weekends under the canopy!

Agree - big time!  Been staying downtown since `98, usually twice a year, (once for sure).  Stayed at all of them, (except Golden Gate and El Cortez), at some point.  the D is a real jumping joint since Derek Stevens took it over.  Yes, a little on the loud side, especially evenings but a fun place to play.  Rooms also great.  Four Queens, Fremont and the D our faves but all are good.

There are times where we want to go Downtown at night, but the last couple of trips, when we weren't staying at the Boyds there, we went during the daytime. Much funner, imo.

I LOVE downtown!!!! I hate that we are staying on the strip for MM
