My research shows that people seem to enjoy playing at El Cortez. We were there several years ago and started gagging from the smoke before we got thru the door. Has the air quality improved?
They've renovated the casino since your last visit but they have not banned smoking. You might be more comfortable in some of the "open air" casinos downtown.
I do think (actually I'm pretty sure) that the air quality in El Cortez has improved some within about the last couple of years. I think that it used to be much worse, so maybe (but I think that they have) they've improved the ventilation system.
Yes, the EC is nowhere near as smoky as it used to be. Only the wiNdowless, low limit slot room tucked behind The Flame could use better ventilation, the rest of the place seems good these days.
