El Cortez: free play for ATM withdrawal?

I'll be in Vegas starting next Friday thru 4/6. I haven't been since last summer, so no recent activity. Since I will be there as the months flip from March to April, my best play would be to use the 5x points coupon on 3/30 and get 1500+ points that day, return on 3/31 and withdraw $500 or whatever amount and get the $25 free play that same day, then withdraw another $500 4/1 and get another $25 free play..correct? Looks correct to me. In addition, on your first day -- 3/30 -- you could use your MRB OR ACG FRP coupon given that you won't be able to use them on the days you do the ATM promo.

Yoiu need 1,500 base point in the preceding month to be eligible to do the promotion in the subsequent month. Base points means unmultiplied points. So if you're using a 5x coupon and hope to get all the points in one day, you'll need to add 7,500 points to your card that March day to be able to do the promo in April. Just make note of what your card reads at the beginning of the day, and play until you've added 7,500 to it.

Also, if you can, try to withdraw $1,000 in one day, that way you'll get the full $50 in freeplay. My bank limits my withdrawals to $500 per account before the ATM fee, so I used two different accounts.

Thank you for the replies. One more question: I've never used this deal before, so do I still need to earn 1,500 points before the first promo redemption? Something in an earlier response made me think that the first one was "free" as far as 1,500 requirement.

Correct, the first one's free, it's subsequent ones that require 1,500 points the prior month.

Last trip I went to EC to do this again. I withdrew my $500 and took it to the cage. The woman there told me that I was only allowed to do it once unless I earned a bunch of points and I barely had any. I apologized and said I didn't know that. She said she'd let me do it this one time since I didn't know any better. Gave me the voucher and I got my free play again. (I truly didn't know about the rule, so this was very nice of her).

Anyone know if this is still going strong? Thinking about trying this play when I get there at the end of the month. Thanks in advance for the replies.
