Cool - I got mine last week. October trip planned. We usually spend 4 or 5 five nights at the ELCO - as long as I play enough blackjack they will comp the extra nights also.

So what kind (how much in play and time) of Blackjack playing are they looking for for getting what stuff?

They like 4 hours a day - I play $20 - $25 average per hand. I usually get $50 food credit and $40 free play....

I love going to the El Cortez, but never get anything other than some comp dollars (for my gambling) which I usually use at Siegl's 1941 Dinning Room. When I go to Vegas, I always use my 2 free nights that I receive from the Main Street Station, but haven't gambled there, as much usual, during our last trip.

I really like the Main Street Station for many reasons, but find myself (and my wife) liking the El Cortez more during our last 3-4 visits. We are both VP players mainly, and would really like at least a night (or two) comped for our play. We like to go to Vegas about 2-3 times per year.

We most always play $.25, double double bonus poker. What I'm wondering, is what I have to do to get some comped rooms? Any information, on this matter, on the El Cortez, would be greatly appreciated. I'm really excited about the El Cortez, and have done most of our play at their casino during our trip last week. We usually play VP for about 6-8 hours per day, for 5 days.

Thanks in advance for all responses.

you may not get offers as soon as you would like from the marketing department. however, when you are ready to plan your next trip, do not hesitate to contact a host. they should be happy to review your play and maybe offer you some comped rooms. they SHOULD be happy to steal you from MSS.
Thank you for the tip. I certainly will contact them before our next time there. I like your remark about them being able to steal us away from the MSS. That makes sense.

As far as I remember reading (I think on EC's website), for machine players, for a room night to be comped during the week it takes 2,000 points and for weekends and holidays it takes 3,000 points per day. And keep in mind that some VP machines there are $3 of coin in per point.
