El Cortez Poker Room Closed?

I recently noticed and confirmed by phone that the El Cortez Poker Room closed. It was open during our December 2013 visit. Surprised to here that since Jackie G. to the best of my knowledge was the main reason that they kept the room open, and to the best of my knowledge he is still with us. Any comments would be appreciated. I am going back to Vegas at the end of this month. Any input to where Paul, Bernie, Karen or Albert have moved on to. Thanks.

Yes, it's closed. I saw Jackie in January and he looked REALLY frail.

RIP Jackie. I am staying a night at the ElCortez next month. It is sad that Jackie will not be there. However as long as the El Cortez retains its character Jackie will remain in spirit.
