thanks Sue, that is fun to read and will be fun to follow, we just stayed there last month, really liked the place, but not a big roller so wont get to stay in any of those suites!

I stayed in the first completed suite over New Year's eve. I saw the other three under construction. All different.
The suite had many improvements. I liked it, but the furniture - couch, love seat and a matching half circle chair would probably be better in the Cabana Suites - very retro. Nice improvements in the bathroom, nice long built in desk, great floors. and a mino fridge in a cabinet. Overall, major improvements. When the other three are completed, EL Cortez will pick the one they like best and the rest of the suites will be done the same way.

And a POOL is on it's way this summer in the valet lot....there are moving valet across the street!

This may be a dumb question, but are they remodeling the tower suites or the vintage suites?
