Getting a haircut Downtown has become an occasional excursion for us during our trips to Las Vegas. Mr. Ortiz has cut my hair a couple times and I can attest that he does a great job in a good, old fashioned, two chair Barber Shop. He is a nice man who loves his craft. I try to work in a visit to his shop whenever possible.

I also got my hair done at the Plaza once. Exposed Hair Salon is the name, and the wife accompanied me shortly after the Plaza reopened. Hot young ladies in lingere washed and cut my hair for about $50, IIRC. Thankfully, I have accepted the fact that as I have gone past age 50, my purpose during such excursions is to relay my experience to others and consider if the ladies would make a good match for one of my early-twenties sons. The haircut was well done and looked good for weeks. The girls were very attractive looking and conversed well. They had an early-thirties, professional stylist "den mother" who was nothing to look at, but was the most fun person you could imagine talking to. It was a great and fun experience for completely different reasons.

I would urge anyone considering getting their hair "done" in Las Vegas to take a trip Downtown and do it.
