Another 50 year old throwing his 2 cents worth in here.
I stopped in the D many times during my most recent stay. The 1st time in was just to check out the loud music everyone was talking about.
The music was light until I actually got into the table games area and then it got loud, but not so loud that it would deter me from hitting the craps tables!
By the way, all of the people saying they are announcing there age (50+) on this post, what does that mean (we're old?) hell, we should love loud music! we grew up in the 70's......ever heard of Boston, Black sabbath, Areosmith, deep purple? I still have there vinal records and a turn table!
