After checking in downtown, what's your next move?

For me, its 2 things.
Ill drop my bags in the room (make sure the TV and AC work), then hit the casino bar for a drink. Followed by a quick trip to the Wal-Greens (or is it CVS) for a mix of Gatorade, bottled water, snacks and 5-Hour Energy Shots.

Ok, I guess that's 3?

Drop it off back to the room and then.. its game on.

For me, after checking in and going to the room to drop off my bags and make sure the room is functioning, I then go out to play for a while.

After I'm done playing, I also head to Walgreens to pick up some Bottled Water for my stay. Then I go back to my room and go to sleep for a while.

A few years ago I broke tradition and before checking in, I went straight to the tables and played a few rounds (Im a light traveler, so my bag fit under my chair with no problem).
I had a few drinks, won a few hands then checked in. Maybe I shouldn't have waited because I got a room at the GG overlooking the alley and dumpsters.

I check in at El Cortez. Go to room, hang clothes, change clothes. Then to Club Cortez and get new card, tell them what day I want 5X points and 2X points. Get my free dice, I must have 30 pair. Then sit my rear down at a video poker machine, and I only play the old machines.

My downtown routine includes:

- because I usually rent a car, I head over to a grocery store before checking in at the hotel. I will usually pick up snacks, beer, and soda
- try to weasel an "complimentary upgrade" during check in. (Real low batting average for downtown Vegas even with tipping)
- go to the room and ensure the AC is functional (... Hey I'm Canadian and often I find it warm in Vegas)
- unpack luggage and hang my clothes in the washroom and run the shower for about 20 mins to steam out the wrinkles which mystically transferred onto the clothing during the flight
- head down to the lounge and enjoy a few beverages
- check out a live band if I can
- Usually the following day is for convention purposes, so I head to bed at a rather decent hour.

well, for me its trip dependent. This trip (this coming Sunday--whoot-whoot!!) I will check into my room and being a big guy and knowing it will be 95+ degrees, I will go right straight to the room and crank the AC up to max. #2 is to put my money in the safe. I have really good money management and my bank roll is broken down in bank envelope's for each day--when its gone that's it for the day)#3 I will lay down and try to nap. Its a 5 hour flight from Manchester NH to Vegas and for some reason I am always beat considering I don't do anything but sit in a seat for the flight. The attempted nap will last 15 to 20 minutes before I give up, get dressed and head for Fremont street to start gamboling.

I stop at Walgreen's or Wal-Mart and sometimes get something to eat before checking in.

Take meds.Take snacks.Shower?

Read the LVA,plan one's attack,make sure the TV works.

Order up a room refer.(For leftovers).

Not so much for the nap:too excited to be there!(O hour time lag).

Food.... DING DING DING: I'm all over it.

I want comp drinks,please.

We typically get in around noon, so we check into the Golden Nugget and head over to Binion's Deli and get a bowl of bean soup and split a hot corned beef or pastrami sandwich! Aaaaaaah! Too bad we're arriving in the evening tomorrow............bean soup and sandwich will have to wait until Saturday!
