Fitz to change name

I think that it would be hard to find a worse one.
If that is the best they can do, they need to throw out a "Choose Our New Name" challenge - it wouldn't cost them much to offer a smoking New Years VIP package for the winner.

I guess "D" stands for "Downtown."

No it stands for Dump!

Isn't D the worse score you can achieve as an establishment offering food or services to the public.
I may be wrong, but I do recall an old " Candid Camera " episode in CA when they switched the " A "
plaqard with a " D " while some folks were about to order food, and they immediatly left!
D is a terrible name. I hope they do something different. Fitz has the bones to be a good place for value gamblers, I hope they can come up with a casino concept that works.

Five Hundy posted an interview with the new owner. He said they wanted to distinguish their operation from other casinos around the country who were using the Fitzgerald's brand.

So call it Flapjack Stan's! Call it Vista Meadows Garden Dewdrop!

There are lots of horrible names that aren't Fitzgerald's. Why go with "D"?

BTW, got a link to the interview?
I remember when they built a new home for the Detroit Pistons and they asked fans to submit ideas for a new name and after all that they picked.............The Palace????????????.seemed stupid at the time however after a while becomes part of the the language and you don't even think about it.Pretty soon you'll jump in a cab and "take me to the D" will just run off your tongue.lol.(or maybe not, still call it the Barbary Coast!)
