Four Queens Comp

We have had air tickets booked for a while for 4 nights beginning of August but were waiting for a reasonable comp. Just received a card from Four Queens for 2 nights comped, $40.00 Freeplay and $30.00 food credit. My wife also received the same offer so I called and asked if we could put them together. No problem at all - so we are booked for the Four Queens.

My husband also got an offer for 2 nights comped, but we aren't going until September. Hoping to hear from them again for that time frame. Please let us know how the rooms are, since we really enjoy the games there.
Last time we were gambling there we really enjoyed it so we went to the front desk and asked to see a room - they gave us a key right away. Went to check it out and it looked clean and comfortable. One negative for me is that there were no easy chairs in the room and I like to sit in an easy chair and watch TV on breaks from gambling - other than that it looked good. MSS where we stayed last time had 2 easy chairs in the room.

Yeah, a nice comfortable chair in the room. That's old school. You could request one at 4Q; they might have it if you ask.

I find Four Queens rooms to be comfortable and fine!

To me the rooms in the Four Queens are passable at best, about on the order of the Fremont quality. Read the reviews of the 4 Queens on tripadvisor.com of some real life experiences (horror stories) there. The A/C in the rooms on the sunny side barely can keep up with the heat in the summer. The worst room at the Golden Nugget is better than the best room at the Four Queens. There is a smell in the Four Queens hallways that is hard to describe, like a cheap deodorizer trying to mask an odor.

I'll add one first hand experience. Last year walking down the hall we noticed a incredible odor coming from one of the rooms. This was a much different odor than the usual cheap cleaning solution smell. It was so bad the entire hallway, 30 feet in each direction reeked of it. The best part is housekeeping was doing the rooms in that area, and didn't even think of reporting it. To this day I don't know what was the cause of the smell, but it remains my first and only "odor complaint" that I had to call the front desk about.
Make sure you go into the host office and introduce yourselves early on. If you charge above your $30 to the room, go back at the end to see if they can do anything based on play. With 2 of you playing, sometimes they can help, sometimes not. They will be up front an honest either way. They have to consider the room first, but will help with meals if they can. I am RFB there, so YMMV.
The south tower is a bit nicer than the north tower plus its a little further from the FSE which helps with the noise. I also agree that the rooms are just so-so. I would rank them lower than MSS, GN, Plaza, El Co Tower, Cal and The D (new rooms).

Only the scungy LVC is probably worse!

Having said that I have stayed in the many times without issue.

Yes, I agree that the South Tower is better than the North Tower FSE Noise-wise and so I always try to get a room in that tower.

As for LVC, they are actually working on remodeling their rooms. I know this because for the last two times I've only got offers for Plaza -- otherwise I have usually gotten an offer with the option of staying in one or the other.

I also should add in that I don't necessarily aim high play-wise when I stay where I play.
