Fremont Hotel

Looking to take a solo trip in June. After staying with local friends for a couple of days I plan to move downtown for at least a few nights, more if I decide to not move on to one of the locals joints. I like the El Cortez, but my bad knees would prefer a more central location. I like to watch the morning news along with coffee and the afternoon edition with a glass of wine. Their website depicts a room (small) that has an overstuffed chair. Is this typical or good show for the website? Any help would be appreciated.

Good Luck!

The rooms are small, especially the bathroom. Beds are not the most comfortable. Rooms have blinds that do a poor job of darkening the room. No coffeemaker- just a very basic room.
very basic, but centrally located. its a place to shower and sleep a little bit. which can be tough with no room darkening curtains. but you will have saved some money to gamble away.
You can get rooms at "The D" for about the same price and they are more recently refreshed with better beds....location is pretty similar

When you check in at Fremont you can request a coffeemaker and they will deliver it to your room.
Maybe I am incorrect, but I think he is asking whether the rooms have a comfortable chair to sit in while he watches the news. A decent chair is also important to me since I handicap sports and watch some events in the room. I have never stayed at the Fremont so I can not answer.
bayshorebevo,
FYI, I also posted this request on the VMB and was told there is an upholstered chair that is comfortable, so mission accomplished.

Good Luck!
