Fremont Street Experience noise map?

Has anyone seen a map of which rooms downtown are awful because of the noise (which doesn't stop until 4 am!!!) and which are OK? I know that at the 4Q, Apache, Golden Nugget, Plaza, etc. there are rooms where you will get a decent night's sleep and rooms where you absolutely will not.

Jesus, if I can hear it half a block away, through several walls and floors/ceilings, what is it like for the morons standing ten feet from the stage? They must be deaf and bleeding from the ears!

Unfortunately, the shift of Vegas marketing to the young and clueless has made everyplace NOISY. Stroll into the D or Circa for an example.

So since I doubt that such a map exists, please share your impressions/experiences. Which areas of which hotels suck, and which are OK?

First of all your claim that the noise does not stop til 4am is misleading. You are referring to the Fri/Sat noise which sometimes lasts to that hour. The rest of the week the noise disappates much earlier than 4am. If the noise bothers you, get some earplugs. Vegas is a 24 hour, 7 day a week venue for those who are there to have a good time - no matter the hour. Noise is a given. Complaining about something that is an integral part of the Vegas experience is a waste of breath. You know this was the norm - quit your bitching. Anyone/everyone who has stayed Downtown knows that the rooms facing the Freemont Street Experience are going to experience more noise. Any rooms facing away from the FSE will be quieter. None of the hotels "suck" - just some face the noisiest part of the FSE and that is just the way it is, has been and wiil likely be forever.

Don't be an asshole.

While noise is obvious a part of freemont st, this was a legitimate question as I'm sure there are plenty of people who wouldn't mind a quieter room . I am one who doesn't believe extremely loud noise at 2 am has anything to do with "the integral vegas experience"

I have stayed at the GN's Carson Tower 3 or 4 times and never heard the Fremont Street noise. California and the Grand seem to be far enough away from Fremont Street to mute most of the sounds.  Asking for a higher floor might help for some of the hotels on the street.

Well, Miller didn't provide a legitimate answer--he was just being nasty and stalking me, as is his wont--but I really would like to hear from people on this topic, especially if they got a room downtown and it WASN'T noisy.

I strongly suspect that the lateness as well as the volume of the noise ("music") is deliberate on the part of the casinos, who don't want us in bed by midnight; they want us downstairs pissing away our money.

Were you facing west (away from the FSE) when you stayed at GN?

We have found the Carson Tower at The Nugget, the South Tower at Plaza, The California, and Main Street very quiet.   Would not stay at the North Tower at Nugget, or at The D anywhere.  But perhaps we have had limited experience.

Tower rooms (mountain view) at ElCo are pretty damn quiet, especially on higher floors.

Strip facing rooms (south tower) at the Plaza are quiet, but that may change when Pigs and Hoes or Hogs and Heifers, whatever it's called opens up its new location.  I'm sure it'll provide a constant stream of crappy music and Harley noise.
