Checked-in to Golden Nugget on 1/22/13 and the buffet was closed until about the 24 or 25. They said due to remodel. We was there the evening on the 25th. and everything was in the same order as before. There ws nothing changed that we could see or that was even touched. We remember when the old buffet downstairs was not the greatest but it was acceptable for dinning. Well since it has moved upstairs it has wnet downhill. They did seem to busy but most people we seen was usning a BOGOF coupon. I would doubt it very much if they could survise without the BOGOF deal. The food is almost tasteless and as far a presentation it is barely average. It is pretty---it is bright---but the food is sub par for the Golden Nugget. This I find very surprising due to the fact Landry's being in the restaurant business you would expect a little more. Has anyone else tried it lately.
