Golden Nugget

I'm heading back to Vegas 9/25 to 10/5. I'm thinkig about staying downtown for the 1st 2-3 nights and I'm looking at the GN, I can get a $64 a night on their web site, any suggestions on room or tower to request? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

We like the Gold Tower (Gold Rooms when upgraded are super) it is step saver when you are tired. You maybe should look into purchasing a Landry's card before your trip if you decided to use the GN. We have never purchsed one (PA members) but I have seen a lot of positive things about the card. Maybe someone who has purchased one can reply with their experiences.

Gold Tower by far the best choice

I was thinking of getting a Rush Tower room for a couple of days on my next trip, which is a really long time away. It will be my first stay downtown. why do you think Gold Tower is better?

We have stayed at the GN for many years and at first (younger) we like the South Tower and as we got older the short walk to the Gold Tower (old north tower) suited us better. We like a lower floor in the Gold Tower vs a room in the Rush Tower. The Rush Tower is beautiful but we thought it was very dark and the main reason was the decor. Now in the Gold Tower there are rooms called the Gold Rooms outstanding. They cost a llittle more but for your first time you will not be disappointed in Downtown. If you decide to stay at the GN make sure you look at a Gold Room I'm sure it they sell themself.

The Gold Club rooms are more expensive than the Rush tower but the standard Gold Tower rooms are cheaper. I recommend the Rush Tower. The extra room in the bathroom is sell worth the extra few steps in my opinion.

Move upstreet to the El Cortez's Cabana Suites! They're comfy and the BJ games are better there.

Location--Location--Location. After a long day the walk to either Carson or Rush seems like forever. Rush Tower is the newer and should shine above the rest given the choices Gold rooms--Gold Tower--Rash--then Carson Tower in that order. Still say Rush Tower rooms seem dark with the decor.
