Golden Nugget & 4 Queens

I stayed at both places on my trip in October. I got a room in the 4 Queens South tower facing south which is very quiet. Rooms are dated but I couldn't care less as everything worked. I stayed in the Carson Street Tower at the Golden Nugget and thought it to be overpriced. It is as dated and worn as the Four Queens room at twice the price.

Yes, in the South tower facing South at Four Queens, it does tend to be a lot quieter than the rooms in the North Tower.

Another factor in this can also be how close you may be to the Stage between 4Q and the D. At night that could get noisy!

Thanks RecVPPlayer for your comments on 4 Queens rooms, we stayed there Nov8-13 in room1430 and found it to fit all our needs, not noisy, enough room for 2 and after all discounts and paybacks the cost was less than we expected.

You're very welcome, Bobby! I'm very happy to help you! Again, I'm sure that the Strip Hotel rooms are nice, but the gaming there is really not good nor worth playing (this goes at least for most of the hands). Again, your money (at least with VP) will be much more likely for it to drain away slowly).

And I'm nw eagerly awaiting reading your next report of this trip!

The 4 Queens also has no resort fee the nugget is $20. 4 Q also has free coffee and coffee pots the Nugget doesn't. I wasn't happy with my room at 4 Qs this last time but they were updating and painting the rooms when I was there in September.
ive stayed at 4Q a few times, it is cheap and convenient and a you get a good coupon book, but man those rooms are so dated. it will be interesting to see what they look like after the makeover. their website says "photos coming soon". I hope they don't have a resort fee coming soon.
I always stay in the Queen because its comped. I love the Nugget but its a couple a stars above 4Q.
