Golden Nugget Las Vegas Poker Tournaments are back

They kept the cash games open through Covid but shut down the tournaments and finally reopened the daily tournaments November 3rd of 2025.  $100 buy in, $20 add on, 12pm and 8pm daily.  Yeah, they take $23 per entry, but at least there is an option for a poker tournament on Fremont again.

Any tourney that rakes more than 10% is unbeatable. At least in cash games, the rake is 10% with a cap.

I agree, it's hard to find a small stakes tournament with a good format and reasonable rake.  I don't think you can find one under $1500 anywhere.

But I'll still play it, location is good, room is good if you aren't next to the smoking rail.  For entertainment purposes only.

Inigo, I have a question perhaps you can answer me that: If I goto play cash game poker, is there a chance to get my parking ticket validated? I am from International and don't have a US phone with permanent wi-fi so I am not sure if I need to scan anything or whatever to enter the garage and then exit.  If you have a chance, can you explain how parking works for poker players? I am not going to pay a parking fee while playing in the poker room.  And thanks for explaining...

Last October, I was able to get out of the garage for free by presenting my parking ticket to the poker check-in desk. That policy applies most of the time, but sometimes not on weekends or during special events. I'd call the poker room directly.

I also don't deal with that "scan the QR code" crap. Just know the license number of your vehicle and you can get around it. The validation will be good for 24 hours.

thanks for explaining. I will try that. I  booked 2 nights at the El Cortez and can walk the first day. I will then ask in person and depending on what they say I may return to play there, ...or not. I will not pay ridiculous parking fees in run down parking garages.

This is their policy, you should get validated for a tournament or cash games.

I saw that when I visited, but as it was three years old at the time, I didn't trust it. Casinos are pretty bad at updating their websites.
